Koryo Culture
The Koryu Dynasty reigned from 918-1392. It began with the rule of General Wang Kon. The culture in the Koryu Dynasty was very important to those who lived with in the dynasty. The culture consisted of four different religions: Korean Buddhism, Korean Confucianism, Korean Taoism, and Korean Shamanism. The government at the time was a monarchy. There were six rulers during this period: Taejo, Gwangjong, Seongjong, Munjong, Gongmin, and Gongyang. Many people of the dynasty got into art during this time. Most of the art made consisted of vases and paintings of surrounding events.
